Introducing brand Emerica
A few words about Emerica
The beginnings of the company Emerica reaches back to 1995 to Etnies brand name. The French shoe company Rautureau Apple that founded Etnies in 1986 was redeemed by the European shoe conglomerate, which was immediately changed into the American company. After this transaction, Pierre-André Senizergues, who had designed and had sold in Etnies in USA since 1990 under the brand name Etnies America, lost his license for the name Etnies. He founded Emerica brand name, which is just the acronym of Etnies America.
In 1996, Pierre-André bought all the rights of Etnies and continued in distribution of both brand names. Emerica focused only on skateboarding, whereas Etnies is a wide provider of surfing, woman, BMX and Moto-x shoes as the additional line of skate shoes.
