Introducing brand Etnies
A few words about Etnies
The American brand Etnies was founded in Lake Forest in California, owned by the company Sole Technology, Inc. with its roots in skateboarding. Etnies is an original producer of shoes for skateboarding but it has recently created shoes and clothes for snowboarders, BMX and motocross riders and surfers.
DIFFICULT BEGINNINGS
Company's beginnings could be find in France in 1986. The original brand name was Etnics; that was derived from the world “ethnic“ as a compliment to skateboarding subculture. Later, the name was changed at Etnies owing to the problems with law. In 1989, the company was taken over by Pierre André creating the first skateboard company with the shoes owned by a professional skateboarder.
Etnies is regarded as the most reasonably priced brand of the company Sole Technology. Meanwhile other sub brands, such as éS Footwear and Emerica profile at skate shoes, Etnies has a wider focus, from babies' shoes to “etnies Girl“ model line for girls and women.
