A few words about Vans
Vans is a producer of skateboard boots and other shoes. It was founded on 15th March 1966 in South California by Paul Van Doren as Van Doren Rubber Company.
ORIGINS OF VANS PRODUCTION
At the beginning Vans designed only shoes with diamonds that were visible in front and at the back of the sole. However, the middle part of the shoes later came apart as they were used mainly for skateboarding. Vans then decided to add vertical lines to increase adhesion and the soles were called „waffled“.
The company focuses on surfing, skateboarding and punk rock style. Vans has recently begun to produce clothes and accessories for skateboarding.
