The Beany Zero 24" junior mountain bike is the lightest 24" children's bike on the market. The bike weighs 7.6 kg. In the 24" bike category, we're dealing with more experienced riders who have put in some miles and love to explore what they can do on a bike—what they can ride up, what they can jump over—and measure their skills against more than just their peers. To make their exploration more enjoyable and easier, we’ve reduced the diameter of the handlebars and selected brake levers sized appropriately for a child’s still-small hand. So that the child can brake safely and quickly, they don’t have to reach across or move their hand on the handlebars—everything is literally right at their fingertips. Including the 8-speed lever shifter. Shifting to a different gear does not require the force typically needed with twist shifters; with lever shifting, the gear can be changed easily and without much effort. Tires up to 2.25" wide can be used on this bike.
