The GNU Fiction Banana Women's Snowboard is a versatile snowboard designed primarily for female riders who want to improve their skills, enjoy a playful ride, and gradually master freestyle techniques. Thanks to its softer flex and unique Original Banana hybrid profile, it offers easy maneuverability, smooth turn initiation, and is forgiving of a variety of riding mistakes. It’s suitable for beginners and intermediate riders looking for a laid-back board for the entire slope. The snowboard’s graphic design was created by artist Kaelin Cassidy (@kaelincassidy). Her original design gives the snowboard a distinctive visual character and sets it apart from standard models. It thus combines the functional construction of GNU snowboards with original artistic design.
- Profile: Original Banana Hybrid
- Flex: 4/10 (softer)
- Terrain: all-mountain, freestyle
- Shape: Directional Twin combines a similar tip and tail shape with a construction optimized for forward riding. It offers versatile use on the slopes as well as for freestyle riding and also allows for switch riding (backward). It’s ideal for riders who want to try new tricks while enjoying a relaxed ride down the entire slope
- Rider level: beginner, intermediate
- Original Banana Hybrid – rocker/camber: the original Banana hybrid profile combines rocker between the bindings with contact zones toward the tip and tail. It helps reduce unwanted edge catch, makes it easier to initiate turns, and promotes a playful riding style. As a result, the board is easy to control and is well-suited for gradually improving your riding technique
- Magne-Traction® edges: features seven strategically placed corrugations on the steel edges. These create more contact points with the snow and improve grip when riding on hard or icy surfaces. The result is better control when turning and greater confidence in variable snow conditions
- G Lite 1 wood core: combines FSC-certified aspen and paulownia. This combination offers low weight, the necessary strength, and flexibility. As a result, the snowboard is easy to maneuver and provides plenty of energy for jumps and freestyle tricks
- Reinforcement: biaxial and triaxial fiberglass
- Eco Knife Cut Co-Ex Base: The extruded base is designed with an emphasis on durability, easy maintenance, and good performance for everyday recreational riding. It’s a great choice for riders who want to spend more time on the slopes and less time dealing with demanding maintenance
