The GNU Upgrade C2X Men’s Snowboard is a versatile snowboard designed for riders who want to combine dynamic on-piste riding with freestyle elements and the ability to venture into deeper snow. It features a sophisticated construction with a C2X hybrid profile, Magne-Traction® technology, and carbon reinforcements. The result is a combination of precise turn control, powerful pop, stability, and playfulness when riding in a variety of conditions. The Upgrade model was developed in collaboration with Jeff “Hendo” Henderson, an experienced snowboard designer at GNU. The Directional Twin construction, specifically shaped edges, and varying stiffness at the tip and tail promote stability during high-speed riding, control in turns, and ease in performing freestyle tricks. This snowboard is suitable for all-day riding in the mountains, resort riding, and using natural terrain features for takeoffs and jumps.

- Shape: Directional Twin combines the characteristics of a classic twin snowboard with a directional shape. The tip and tail are very similar in shape, so the snowboard offers balanced riding characteristics whether riding forward or switch (backward). At the same time, it features a slightly directional design—for example, the rider’s stance is shifted toward the tail—which improves stability and control when riding forward

- C2X – hybrid profile: combines a short rocker between the bindings with a more pronounced camber under the rear foot and a longer camber toward the tip. The result is a combination of playfulness, flexibility, and stability that promotes precise turn initiation, good response on takeoffs, and confidence at higher speeds
- Magne-Traction® edges: The specially shaped undulations of the steel edges create multiple points of contact with the snow. This design improves grip when riding on hard and icy surfaces and helps maintain control even in more challenging conditions
- G Lite 2 wood core: combines aspen and paulownia wood. It offers the light weight, strength, and flexibility needed for dynamic riding. The construction is complemented by a combination of biaxial and triaxial fiberglass with carbon reinforcements for better energy transfer and a livelier kick.
